Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 10, 2026

PAR Soft Inc (“AuctionGate”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose information when you use our services, including our website, mobile application, and the AuctionGate Chrome browser extension (together, the “Services”).

This policy applies to all of our Services. Where a section relates specifically to the AuctionGate Chrome extension, this is stated expressly. Please pay particular attention to Section 4 (Chrome Extension Data and Limited Use), which governs all data handled by the extension.

1. The Services and Their Single Purpose

AuctionGate provides tools that help users manage their participation in online vehicle auctions, primarily Copart and IAAI. The Services include:

  • Website and account dashboard – for registration, account management, billing, and notifications.
  • Mobile application – for managing auction accounts and lots on mobile devices.
  • Chrome extension – a tool that operates on supported auction websites (Copart, IAAI) to read and synchronize the user’s own auction data, display lot and bidding information, and assist the user with auction-related actions.

Single purpose of the extension: the AuctionGate extension exists solely to support the user’s auction workflow on the auction platforms they already use. All data the extension handles is used only to deliver these user-facing features.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

When you register or interact with our Services, we collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Payment information (processed via Stripe)

2.2 Information Collected Automatically by the Website and Mobile App

When you use our website or mobile application, we automatically collect:

  • IP address
  • Device information
  • Cookies and similar technologies (website only)
  • Log data
  • Geolocation data (only if you enable it in the mobile app)

2.3 Information Collected by the Chrome Extension

When you use the AuctionGate Chrome extension on a supported auction site, the extension may access and collect:

  • User actions – your interactions with the auction page (such as clicks and the auction-related actions you take) needed to provide the extension’s features.
  • Website content – content displayed on the auction pages you visit (such as lot identifiers, vehicle and lot details, bidding and status information, and related text) needed to display, organize, and synchronize your auction data.
  • Authentication data – credentials you choose to provide or save (such as logins and related authentication information for your auction platform accounts), used solely to sign you in to and manage your own auction accounts through the extension.
  • Location data – such as region, IP address, or location signals, used to provide location-relevant auction features (for example, showing data relevant to your region).

This data is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to AuctionGate servers located in Germany, where it is processed and stored solely to provide the extension’s features to you. The extension does not collect your general web browsing history. It is active only on the supported auction platforms required for its features.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information collected through our website and mobile app to:

  • Provide account authentication and access
  • Deliver notifications (including via email and WhatsApp)
  • Process payments via Stripe
  • Perform analytics and improve our Services
  • Send marketing communications, where permitted, using contact details you provide (you may opt out at any time)

Data collected by the Chrome extension (Section 2.3) is used only to provide and improve the extension’s user-facing features – for example, to sign you in to and manage your auction accounts, read and synchronize your auction account data, display lot and bidding information, provide location-relevant features, and assist you with auction actions. We do not use extension-collected data for marketing, advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the extension’s features.

4. Chrome Extension Data and Limited Use

AuctionGate’s use of information received from and through the AuctionGate Chrome extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • Allowed use. We only collect and use the data described in Section 2.3 to provide and improve the single purpose and user-facing features of the extension.
  • No sale of data. We do not sell or rent extension-collected user data to any third party.
  • Limited transfer. We do not transfer extension-collected user data to third parties, except (a) when necessary to provide or improve the extension’s single purpose, (b) to comply with applicable law, (c) as necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, or (d) as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to users.
  • No advertising. We do not use or transfer extension-collected user data to serve personalized, re-targeted, or interest-based advertising.
  • No creditworthiness or lending use. We do not use or transfer extension-collected user data to determine creditworthiness or for any lending purposes.
  • No human reading. We do not allow humans to read extension-collected user data, except: with your consent (for example, for support you request); for security purposes; to comply with applicable law; or where the data has been aggregated and anonymized and is used only for internal operations.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies for:

  • User authentication
  • Analytics (Google Analytics)
  • Advertising (Facebook Pixel, Google Ads)

These cookies and advertising/analytics technologies operate on the AuctionGate website only. They do not apply to, and are not used with, data collected by the Chrome extension. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal data to third parties. We may share data as follows:

  • Payment processor: Stripe (for payment processing).
  • Website analytics and marketing providers: Google and Facebook – using website data only (see Section 5), never extension-collected data.
  • Service providers: technical and support staff located in the United States, with access to servers hosted in Germany, acting on our behalf and bound by confidentiality obligations.

Sharing of data collected by the Chrome extension is further limited as described in Section 4.

7. International Data Transfers

Your data, including data collected by the Chrome extension, is stored on servers located in Germany. Certain employees and service providers located in the United States may access this data to operate and support the Services. We apply appropriate safeguards for such transfers as required by applicable law.

8. Data Retention

  • User account data is retained as long as your account is active or as required for legal and business purposes.
  • Log data is retained for 3 months.
  • Data collected by the extension is retained only as long as needed to provide its features and is deleted when your account is closed, subject to legal retention requirements.

9. Data Security

We implement industry-standard measures to protect data, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit using SSL/TLS (HTTPS)
  • Encryption of personal and sensitive user data, including authentication credentials, at rest using strong encryption
  • Limited, role-based access to personal data
  • Secure storage and handling practices

We never publicly disclose authentication credentials, and access to them is strictly limited to providing the extension’s features to you.
